When a flashy red sports car catches Amanda Blake's eye, she stops at the dealership and meets a quiet, handsome man, Doug McAllister. Amanda runs her own advertising business which occupies much of her time, and she doesn't have much room for a romance.Doug McAllister may change that.

Terry Zahniser McDermid was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and spent the next eighteen years moving around the United States. She met her husband, Bob, a native of Los Angeles, when she attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, where she received a business administration and teaching degree. They now live in the Midwest with their two sons.

Writing and teaching have always been connected for Terry. She has written articles, short stories, and lessons for the educational market, in addition to an educational resource text. She currently teaches kindergarten and loves the stories that she sees daily in her classroom, finding that they help her discover new ideas about which to write.
