Gerry O’Hara visits to Ireland, home of her husband’s family roots, coupled with his mother’s tales of life in a small town in County Mayo, provided inspiration for Emerald Sky. A tour of the Waterford Crystal factory, with its blazing furnaces and molten glass, provided details to round out the book.

Gerry’s leisure hours are spent along Monterey Bay, bicycling and beaching with family and friends. Residents of Seascape-Aptos, California, she and her husband share a home with a terminally spoiled calico cat.

Emerald Sky is Gerry’s fifth novel, her second for AVALON.
