AN AVALON MYSTERY
Deadly Sources
by Janet Boling ISBN 978-0-8034-9518-8

Undersheriff Mark Browning and newspaper editor Sarah Carpenter have enough on their hands trying to keep their romance a secret. They’re supposed to be adversaries, not sweethearts. But when the sheriff is murdered in their Michigan resort town shortly before the election, their problems multiply.

Browning quickly discovers political shenanigans are interfering with the murder investigation while Sarah, who has a nose for news and a penchant for sleuthing, further complicates his life. They discover that the sheriff had no shortage of enemies, including a troublemaking psychic who knows a little too much about the crime, a beleaguered wife, his political opponent, and the daughter he gave up for adoption. Mark and Sarah try to find a killer as the demands on their conflicting careers collide.
