Stephanie Martin, a single mom with a teenaged son, believes in hard work, not in fairy tales. So when she finds herself flat on her back on the ice at the local skating rink, she has no idea that it’s her very own Prince Charming coming to her rescue.

Martin St. Claire, ex-hockey star dubbed “The prince of the NHL,” cannot seem to convince Stephanie that he really wants to explore a relationship with her. Kathryn Quick lives in New Jersey with her husband Don and son Jarrett, who currently is attending New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire; maybe even for the entire semester (at the very least there will be a book in his adventures away from home and on the path to knowledge). She also has grown twin sons: Scott who lives in Arizona, and Mark who is a corrections officer for the County of Somerset and lives in New Jersey.
