The Milwaukee Mystery Series
Milwaukee Summers Can Be Deadly
by Kathleen Anne Barrett

We were introduced to amateur sleuth Beth Hartley in her first novel, Milwaukee Winters Can Be Murder, now available from Avalon Beth Hartley, former lawyer and sometime sleuth, is at it again. When Beth's young neighbor Peter Barry comes to her for help in solving his father's murder, Beth can't find it in her heart to say no to the bereaved sixteen-year-old. Of course, since single-handedly (well, almost) solving the Grezinski murder last winter, Beth can't see any reason why she shouldn't be able to do the same with this case. As Beth begins questioning the nearest and dearest of the deceased, it becomes apparent that Phillip Barry did not live the quiet life of the stereotypical CPA. The list of suspects grows, and when another murder occurs, Beth must think fast before something more than the summer heat does her in.
