A Luke Dawson Western

Eager to strike out on his own and create his own path, Luke Dawson leaves his life as a cowboy on his father’s ranch. But unexpected events keep him from his trail, taking him in directions he never even imagined.

First, he must save Sing Loo, a Chinese laborer working on the railroad near the Dawsons’ Circle D ranch. In appreciation, Sing Loo teaches Luke the art of hand-to-hand combat. Luke is forced to use both his fists and his guns when the Circle D becomes embroiled in a range war with the neighboring Bar H ranch.

Luke, Sing Loo and the other Circle D hands take the fight into Bar H territory, and, in their battles, Luke earns a reputation as a first-rate gunslinger. Wells Fargo agents in nearby Dodge City hear of Luke’s exploits and offer him a job as a Special Agent—another adventure which is sure to test his skills and his mettle.

Denny Andrews was born in Anacortes, Washington. As a child he lived all over the Midwest, finally returning to live in Oak Harbor, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Political Science and a minor in History. While in college he also learned judo.

Denny joined the United States Air Force where he qualified as an expert in small arms and developed an interest in antique weapons. His interest in the old West and historically related events stems from the time he learned that he had a great-grandfather on each side of the Civil War.

He currently lives in Bellevue, Washington, with his wife, Lorna. They have four children and four grandchildren.
