
The Sheriff Shannon Western Series
Whiskey Creek was rapidly becoming a ghost town. The mines had closed, taking with it the miners and most of the residents. Shops and saloons were closing due to a lack of patrons. Once there, Shannon begins to investigate King Kruger and his corrupt, bloodthirsty men as U.S. Marshal. But things are not as easy as they may appear and Shannon has a tough time defending his new friends and bringing justice to this small town.
Charles E. Friend is the author of numerous nonfiction works and several novels. He is a dedicated student of the history of the American West, and has lived in both Arizona and Texas, where he acquired much of the background for his western stories.
